Finally! A word that echoed through this entire celebration, a family truly elated to witness the union of Matt and Sara. We couldn't be more excited to play a part in a day that turned out to be as perfectly unique as this couple. Once they were all dressed up, Videographer Elvira from Poem of Us and Photographer Danny Parada whisked off with the pair and a few close friends for a little Key West adventure.

As a planner, what I love about Key West is the array of historic and often quirky options it offers in terms of venues, art, and entertainment. This comes in especially handy when the weather changes. Here, you can have a ceremony at a beautiful lighthouse and enjoy your reception at one of America’s most celebrated authors’ historic homes, all within walking distance of each other, regardless of the weather.

Seventy guests gathered at Key West Lighthouse, under the patter of light rain and the sweet sounds of the couple's close friend and musician Shreddy for the pair’s dreamy ceremony. Matt stood beside some of Duarte Floral Designs' finest arrangements at the end of the wicker-lined aisle, awaiting Sara, the most classically beautiful bride, who graced the grassy aisle with her stunning bouquet and proud father, David. Their ceremony was filled with so much laughter, so many stories, and understandably, so much genuine joy to see the pair "finally" tie the knot.

During a private viewing of the reception, the contagious energy and beautiful music of Sam Rise welcomed guests to the Hemingway Courtyard for cocktail hour and light bites. Sara and Matt chose a group of incredibly talented vendors, and together we created one of the most breathtaking receptions I’ve ever seen at Hemingway House, using clear tents as a weather backup, but often incorporated purely for their romantic effect.

The Eventfully Yours team draped string lights, greenery, and rustic wicker light features. Under this enchanting enclosure, Monika from Duarte Floral Design, Lena from Table 7, and Blue Thistle Studios’ Kaylee brought this bride to tears; the couple was blown away by Duarte Floral Designs’ vibrant blooms of deep burgundy, earthy green, blush peach, and cream textural elements. Tall flickering candles and glassware enhanced the details of each carefully curated floral arrangement. Great Events served an incredible feast, and as is almost customary at the Hemingway House, the famous six-toed cats of Hemingway opened the dance floor as Sam Rise and DJ Jimmy from Soundwave carried the delight to the very last minute of this magical night.

Matt and Sara are a perfectly suited pair, and bringing their unique vision and details to reality was a perfect way to celebrate that!
