This gorgeous couple, the soon-to-be Shumways, chose The Audobon House and Tropical Gardens in Key West as the backdrop for the celebration of their love. The grand historic home and exotic gardens carry such a moving stature and romantic presence that they create an effortlessly stunning venue to welcome Cailee and Noah’s closest family and dearest friends.
A morning of excitement as the bride and groom got ready at separate guest houses with their respective parties: the ladies wearing flirty, flowy florals and the groomsmen sporting sharp black tuxedos. The impressive party gathered at the Truman annexes for a few fun shots before the bride and groom met for a private “first look” and exchange of vows.
Guests were welcomed to the ceremony at Audubon's picturesque back porch. Crisp white chairs marked the aisle through the courtyard for their gorgeous bridal party, and the most adorable flower girls and ring bearer, buckled into a little convertible car!Noah’s radiant Bride followed, captivating guests in a fairytale moment of total enchantment. Pachelbel’s Canon in D playing as her father Gary escorted her down the aisle, her beauty and excitement gleaming right through the veil.
Just under 100 guests filled the tropical gardens with a lively buzz for cocktail hour, enjoying the gardens, while snacking on phenomenal savory bites provided by Great Events Catering and sweet jazzy sounds live from Tommy, the talented DJ from Soundwave. The newlyweds did something we love and recommend to any couple wanting to savor a private moment as Mr and Mrs before the social festivities: They skipped off on a fun little private adventure of their own, including Key West’s classically quirky landmarks like the historic Captain Tony’s bar and Marilyn Monroe statue at Tropic Cinema, followed closely of course by Sarah Two hill photography.
For decor, our couple chose refined hues of pink, soft ivory whites, fresh greenery, a touch of gold and a surprisingly chic but tropical twist of fruit bowl centerpieces, an overall elegant theme. Guests were invited to be seated under whimsical lighting and candles complemented by a delicious dinner.
Soon after, the checkered black and white dance floor disappeared under the couples vibrant group of guests. DJ Tommy kept the crowd on their feet, singing and dancing to the very last minute allowing the bride and groom a night of memories and laughter they will never forget!
It was such a delight working with this pair and their dedication to each other is something we were all so honored to have been a part of!
