I will begin by saying that Lindsay and Jay definitely have a special place in my heart! What an incredible family to work with, and what a lovely planning process this was from beginning to end. Lindsay and Jay’s story is pretty fascinating, and the way they blended two families is truly a testament to their love story.

We planned this wedding in about six months, give or take, in the middle of school schedules, a home renovation, blending two families, lots of work, and plenty of family trips. We were clearly on a mission!

None of it would have been possible without the incredible vendor team we put together — a group of professionals who care deeply about creating weddings that truly reflect their clients and who work nonstop to produce elevated events here in the Florida Keys.

The focal point of Lindsay and Jay’s wedding was simple: they wanted an incredible celebration for their closest family and friends, with good food, great music, and a spectacular ambiance by the water.

For the design, we carefully selected colors and patterns using their new family home as inspiration. We incorporated different shades, textures, and shapes inspired by the beach and ocean as a nod to something they both love, while still creating a celebration that felt personal to them and their new life together.

The celebrations began the night before with an intimate dinner for the wedding party in the private upstairs dining room at Pierre’s of Islamorada in Morada Bay, followed by a cocktail party at Spa Island at Cheeca Lodge.

Wedding day started with mimosas in the penthouse at Cheeca Lodge Resort & Spa, along with a private exchange of letters and gifts between Lindsay and Jay. Fast forward through hair and makeup, flower deliveries, photographers and videographers arriving, bridal valet steaming services, and all the behind-the-scenes details that make a wedding day happen — and we made it to an incredibly meaningful ceremony.

And then came the sunset.

The Florida Keys gave us one of those spectacular sunsets that every couple dreams of having on their wedding day, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening by the water.

Needless to say, the celebration was a huge success. The following morning, everyone came together one last time for a relaxing brunch before Lindsay and Jay continued the festivities with their honeymoon in Paris.

This wedding will always be a special one for us, not only because of how beautiful it was, but because of the family at the center of it all.
